- Prepare the base: In a bowl, mix egg whites and almond flour to create a light, protein-friendly crust. Pour this mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly.
- Cook the filling: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the lean ground beef with onions, bell peppers, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Drain any excess fat.
- Assemble and bake: Pour the beef mixture over the egg white base and bake for 15 minutes.
- Add cheese and finish baking: Sprinkle shredded cheese (or place provolone slices) over the top and return to the oven for 10 more minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
