Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare zucchini:
    • Slice the zucchinis lengthwise into thin strips.
    • Lay them on a paper towel, sprinkle with a little salt, and let sit for 10 minutes to remove excess moisture. Pat dry.
  • Cook the meat:
    • In a pan over medium heat, cook the ground turkey or chicken with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until fully cooked.
    • Stir in the marinara sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Prepare ricotta mixture:
    • In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and the egg.
  • Assemble the lasagna:
    • Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in a baking dish.
    • Add a layer of zucchini slices, then spread some ricotta mixture on top.
    • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with shredded mozzarella on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve!
